I’ve been sober almost six months. Thank god for AA and other such programs.About this book- it explains everything. First half talks about how AA came to be and last half shares inspirational stories of other addicts and alcoholics who have worked the program and now lead sober lifestyles. Very helpful and motivating.For anyone out there struggling with addiction, even if you aren’t ready to seek help, read this book. You at least will know you aren’t alone. The Kindle version is NOT the Big Book. Chapter 5 How It Works is titled The Twelve Steps for some reason and it only goes up to the part where it says “being convinced, we were at step 3”. Then a new chapter called Step 1 starts bc what they’ve done is nestled the 12&12 inside this Big Book version. It’s so weird. The Big Book returns with To Wives and the remaining couple of chapters are there. But the stories are weird. Home brewmeister? Annie the Cop Fighter? It’s jacked. And I’m really annoyed!
